Harry Laing: Writing Comedy
How do you make comedy a part of your writing style? Where does the humour come from? How can you tell if it’s actually funny? Harry Laing will be aiming to come up with some answers in his all-day writing workshop for The Far South Coast Writers group.
This workshop is aimed at anyone who would like to explore their comic potential as a writer, in whatever form. This could be narrative, poem, monologue, rap even song. Harry will be offering the chance to try different forms of comic writing so that participants can discover what form best suits their material. And whilst this is not a workshop for would be stand-up comics, Harry will offer some performing and voicework tips if that’s where the work is heading. And even if it isn’t, some help with performing work in public never goes astray. The workshop will suit people at all stages of their writing experience.
Be sure to book your tickets and RSVP for this insightful workshop soon. For more information, check the official Writers of the Far South Coast website or contact us.
