HARP Writing Competition 2015
In 2015 the South Coast Writers Centre, in collaboration with Illawarra/Shoalhaven Local Health District (HARP), is running their annual HARP writing competition in the lead up to World AIDS Day (December 1). This year, we're opening the competition up to all pieces of writing themed around gender and sexuality.
To enter, submit 40 lines of poetry or up to 1,500 words of prose fiction to firstname.lastname@example.org by midnight on Sunday, November 15. Free entry.
Possible topics include identity, sexuality, gender, sexual health, equality, diversity and so forth.
Please ensure your submission includes the title of your piece, but not your name. All entries will be judged blindly and feedback will be provided.
The following prizes will be awarded in each category(poetry and prose):
1st prize – $75 and publication in the 2016 SCWC anthology
2nd prize – $50
3rd prize – A book package
The winner will be announced at the 2015 SCWC Christmas Picnic.
