International Women's Day Writing Competition Winners 2014

Congratulations to the winners of our International Women's Day writing competition! The competition asked writers to submit short prose or a poem with the theme "a woman's journey to health and wellbeing".

The winners were announced at POWER VOICE, an event hosted by the SCWC and Women's Health Services ISLHD in partnership with the Wollongong Art Gallery and Berkely Women Inspired.

  • 3rd place: Fran Thompson, 'The Meaning of Compassion'

  • 1st place: Denice Finnegan, 'Mosaic'
  • 2nd place: Lea Tucker, 'empty nest' and 'run lil run'
  • 3rd place: Rie Natalenko, 'Russian Dolls'
