The South Coast Writers Centre (SCWC) is looking for an Indigenous Program Coordinator
The SCWC is looking for results-oriented, independent, flexible people who have skills in project management, written and oral communication, problem solving and time management and who have an interest in Indigenous projects and knowledge of the local and Australian literature scene. It is also desirable that applicants have a driver’s licence.
The Indigenous Program Coordinator will assist in the day-to-day operation of the South Coast Writers Centre Indigenous Program stream, including the Junee Dreaming Inside project, Kanahooka High School Young Writers Creative Writing project, Indigenous Writer in Residence and Indigenous Mentoring Program..
The Indigenous Program Coordinator is an integral member of the project team responsible for delivering stages of these four Indigenous projects. Although the initial broad vision of each project will be mapped out in consultation with the Director, the micro-management, organisation and decision making falls within the responsibilities of the coordinator.
The successful applicant will be required to work 8 hours per week and will be offered a 6 month contract, with possible option to renew. Payment is $20 per hour, plus super.
